Requirements

Job Responsibilities


- Clean and maintain guest rooms to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish bedroom and bathroom supplies.

- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures within the rooms and common areas.

- Vacuum carpets, floors, and upholstery, and perform spot cleaning when necessary.

- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, counters, and sinks.

- Restock amenities, such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, and towels.

- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.

- Inspect rooms for repairs or fixtures that are not working properly and report any issues to the maintenance department.

- Maintain inventory of room supplies, linens, and cleaning materials.

- Respect guest privacy and security by following established protocols.

- Respond to guest queries and requests promptly and courteously.

- Ensure all assigned rooms are clean and tidy by the end of the shift.

- Follow all health and safety regulations when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

- Report any lost and found items to the housekeeping supervisor.

- Assist with laundry services if required, including washing, drying, and folding linens.

- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a high level of guest service.

- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor


Job Requirements


- High school diploma or equivalent education level

- Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or as a room attendant is preferred

- Ability to work with a variety of cleaning equipment and products

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing high standards of cleanliness

- Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend

- Ability to lift, push, and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)

- Time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within a given timeframe

- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

- Basic understanding of maintenance and housekeeping processes

- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team

- Good communication skills, capable of effective interaction with guests and team members

- Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials and hotel room layouts is a plus

- Familiarity with health and safety standards and the ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely

- Discretion with guest privacy and personal property

- Ability to handle reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience

- Multitasking abilities to manage multiple rooms and responsibilities simultaneously

- Authorization to work in the respective country of employment
