POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for the day-to-day Branch operations. Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed. Oversees the provision of a full range of services to members and prospective members. Ensures that members are promptly and professionally served. Performs various Branch functions as required.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Cash Handling: Responsible for processing various financial transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. They must accurately count and handle cash, checks, and other financial instruments.
- Member Service: Assisting members with their credit union needs, providing members with a prompt and positive member experience. Perform duties related to certificates of deposit and IRAs.
- Loan Process: Evaluates and processes member loan applications in a timely manner. Follows up on paperwork to ensure its completeness and accuracy.
- Account Management: Assisting members in opening new accounts, updating account information, and closing accounts. They must ensure that all necessary documentation and procedures are followed.
- Verification: Verifying the authenticity of checks, identification, and other documents presented by members. This helps prevent fraudulent activities and ensures compliance with credit union regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of transactions, balancing cash drawers at the end of each day. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure accurate financial records. Completes daily, weekly, and monthly administrative duties. Completes required reports and records and ensures that Branch functions are properly documented. Ensures appropriate credit union documents are scanned.
- 7. Sales: Promoting and cross-selling credit union products and services, such as savings accounts, credit cards, or loans.
- 8. Technology Use: Using various credit union systems and software to process transactions and access member account information. They should be comfortable using computers and other technology.
- 9. Security: Ensures Branch security by following security protocols to protect the credit union and its members from potential risks. Opens and closes the building in accordance with set hours. Tests security equipment as assigned.
- 10. Compliance: Credit union Branch Coordinators must adhere to credit union regulations and policies to ensure legal and ethical practices. This includes understanding and following anti-money laundering (AML) and knowing our member (KYC) procedures.

- 12. Team Collaboration: Working as part of a team with other credit union employees to provide comprehensive credit union services. Maintaining a professional demeanor with effective communication and teamwork are essential. Timely communication with the Director of Lending or Director of Operations regarding any concerns or issues that arise with members or other team members.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: At least two years of previous experience in a banking or credit union environment, preferably in a supervisory or lead role.
