Staff Physical Therapist
Description

The Staff Physical Therapist is a clinical position that is responsible for the treatment and management of personal injury, other third party, and wellness patients.

 

Position Duties: The position requires the following primary duties to be successful: 

• Performs all clinical duties as it relates to the care of patients at Motion Rehabilitation 

• Supervises and mentors Physical Therapy Assistants at respective clinic location including clinical and administrative function 

• Co-manage relationships and communication among local physical therapy department and team members 

• Interdisciplinary Environment: Effectively communicate clinical and non-clinical information as it pertains to the patients with other staff physical therapists, PTAs, chiropractors, clinic directors, orthopedic and medical manages, and/or ELT as deemed necessary. 


Position Expectations: 

• Co-manage daily operations for physical therapy services of their local office to ensure execution of the company’s mission and goals 

• PT is required to see 16-18 patients per day 

• PT is to complete documentation for visits within 48 business hours 

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic rehabilitation, including joint mobilization, therapeutic exercise progressions, functional movement training, manual therapy, and return-to-activity programming. 

• Provide vestibular and neurocognitive therapies, along with a focus on therapeutic exercises, therapeutic activities, manual therapy and gait training 

• Willingness and ability to travel to other Motion Rehabilitation locations within or outside of their geographical region to perform the same or similar physical therapy duties 

• Exhibit exceptional knowledge of all components of personal injury and/or third-party liability services lines 

• Effectively treat, document, and manage all aspects of a patient’s care and personal injury case 

• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Know your metrics and key performance indicators 

• Ensure the facility is clean, safe, inviting and outfitted with the help of the site coordinator and staff members 

• Fulfill all continuing education requirements necessary to maintain an active and valid professional license

Position Metrics: 

The execution of the position is quantifiably measured by the following: 

• Documentation Efficiency 

• Patient Compliance 

• Total Patient Visits 

• Gross Revenue of clinic/location 

• Metrics may be changed/updated at any time at the discretion of management 


Position Requirements: 

• Master’s or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program 

• Experience: no previous experience required BUT 1+ years of outpatient orthopedics a plus 

• Preferred: Ability to effectively multi-task under time pressure. Strong communication and leadership skills 

• Be team-oriented and able to work with various managers, staff, and providers 

• Be able to make sound decisions while on the move in a fast-paced environment 

• Ability to interact, engage and communicate effectively with team members, licensed medical providers, patients, and executive management when necessary 


Additional Information 

• Physical demands: frequent sitting, bending, stooping walking, lifting up to 20-40 pounds, and periods of uninterrupted standing. • Salaried exempt or Part-Time
