Job purpose

The Relationship Manager will focus on business development by identifying and attracting new customers who align with the bank's strategic goals, while also providing exceptional account-opening experience, offering tailored advice and solutions, and identifying opportunities to cross-sell deposit-related services.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Prospects for new customers that align with Bank’s strategic goals for deposit and loan growth. 
  • Market Treasury Management services to local businesses. 
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand challenges, technical requirements, and stakeholder priorities of prospects. 
  • Assist in the onboarding of new customers. 
  • Responsible for updating management on pipeline and sales activities.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas and KPIs related to pipeline growth and client acquisition.
  • Work jointly with Management and Lenders to sell deposit products. 
  • Works with integrity and creates an environment of commitment to regulatory and compliance needs. 
  • Processes a variety of transactions for customers, including deposits, night deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, note payments, cashier checks, etc.
  • Rents lock boxes and assists customers needing access to box.
  • Assists customers in opening new accounts, issuing CD’s, and arranging for direct deposits.
  • Explains, promotes, or sells products or services.
  • Enrolls customers in internet banking, remote deposit capture and ACH.
  • Handles customer complaints. Counsels customers with special problems or in disagreement with Bank policies and procedures.
  • Follows and operates all security procedures as needed.
  • Maintains working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Requirements

  Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Finance or related business field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a branch location and or deposit business development.  
  • Detailed knowledge of banking deposit related products and procedures. 
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Critical thinking and ability to multitask in a demanding environment. 

Working conditions

Normal office working conditions. Typical work week Monday – Friday. 

Physical requirements

Ability to move large paper files. Occasional travel by vehicle to meet customers.
