SENIOR BI DEVELOPER 

Focal Point Care is seeking a Senior BI Developer to lead our data engineering and semantic modeling efforts. This role owns the full data pipeline—from ingestion to transformation—and ensures our Power BI environment is accurate, scalable, and performant. They will also take ownership of our existing Fabric/Lakehouse pipelines and models, refine them, and maintain documentation going forward. The Senior BI Developer reports to the Vice President of Software & Integration.  This is a full time, in-office position in our Lakewood, NJ office.

Key Responsibilities 

• Take ownership of existing pipelines, tables, and models; evaluate, optimize, and maintain them 

• Build and maintain new ETL pipelines in our Fabric environment 

• Design and manage tables, views, relationships, and Power BI semantic models 

• Improve data quality, structure, and performance across all reporting datasets

 • Translate business requirements into data architecture and transformations 

• Support the BI team with advanced SQL, transformations, and performance tuning 

• Perform other duties as assigned  

Requirements 

•  5–10+ years of relevant experience 
• Strong SQL, Python, Spark, and data modeling experience 
• Hands-on experience with Fabric, Lakehouse, Delta, and ETL pipeline design • Ability to evaluate and improve existing pipelines and models 
• Strong documentation habits and ability to create and maintain technical specifications • Ability to collaborate with both technical and business teams Working Conditions  
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position and move about the work area intermittently throughout the workday 
• Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment 
• Ability to communicate and exchange information and ideas so others will understand 
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a high-pressured environment, subject to frequent interruptions
