Position Summary
The Technical Sales Coordinator supports the sales organization by coordinating technical information, pricing, and quotation activity while serving as a key link between Sales, Engineering, Operations, and external partners. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and the organizational skills to manage pricing data, documentation, and systems accurately. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with technical information, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Quoting & New Business Coordination
· Coordinate quotation activity for new and existing business by collecting, sharing, and entering required data
· Review customer drawings and specifications to ensure all information needed to quote is complete and accurate
· Distribute drawings and specifications to internal teams and external partners as required
· Receive and evaluate quotation inputs to confirm alignment with customer requirements
· Enter quotation data into internal systems accurately and on time
Pricing & Costing Support
· Request updated pricing for products currently in production
· Generate updated pricing quotes for customers as needed
· Load and maintain cost and pricing data within company systems
· Support pricing accuracy and consistency across quotes and customer updates
Technical & Documentation Support
· Read and understand basic technical drawings and specifications
· Organize, maintain, and control drawings and specification files
· Ensure documentation is properly stored, current, and updated when changes occur
Quality & Issue Coordination
· Assist with receiving quality-related issues from customers or internal teams
· Share quality information with appropriate internal stakeholders to support timely resolution
· Help ensure documentation related to quality issues is properly tracked
Tariff & Compliance Support
· Learn and understand HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) codes applicable to company products
· Maintain and update the HTS code database as products or classifications change
· Support accurate data for trade compliance and customer documentation
General Sales & Administrative Support
· Provide day-to-day support to the sales team on technical and administrative matters
· Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) to manage data, reports, and communication
· Assist with problem-solving related to quoting, pricing, and technical documentation
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a technical, business, or manufacturing-related field
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
· Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn technical concepts
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical sales environment
· Familiarity with quoting systems, ERP systems, or pricing databases
· Basic understanding of costing and pricing principles
· Exposure to quality processes or trade compliance concepts (HTS codes a plus, training provided)
