Description

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time, exempt Post-Award Project Manager on the Kirksville, MO campus. This position reports to the Post-Award Assistant Director. This Post-Award Project Manager helps monitor grant-funded activities; and conducts data conversion, documentation, retention, and destruction, etc. related to a portfolio of sponsored projects. 


Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Understand/monitor emerging state and federal compliance policies, grant guidance, statutes, and funding agency/source policies.
  • Use logical systems to document and track travel costs, consultant hours, and other grant- related expenses in compliance with University and funder requirements.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and consultants in the production, delivery, and assessment of project materials and activities.
  • Facilitate the preparation of progress reports including the management of data, tables, spreadsheets, etc. 
  • Protect sensitive information (i.e., confidential, proprietary, intellectual property, etc.) and complete required certifications including, but not limited to, Financial Conflict of Interest, Protection of Human Subjects, HIPPA, FERPA, etc.
  • Act as point for record retention, equipment monitoring, expiration and destruction of grant files in closed projects while working closely with the Internal Grants manager.
  • Lead and support the transition of grant files from physical format to an electronic grants management system, acting as lead contact for training and implementation for all users.
  • Assist with general creation/proofing/editing of various internal SP documents, proposals, and policies.
  • Conduct requested research from other SP team members.
  • Be accountable to project leaders, the Office of Sponsored Programs, and ultimately external sponsors.
  • Travel for project-related meetings, events, and assignments on occasion. 
Requirements

Education & Experience

  • College degree required.
  • Have experience with project/grants management, budgeting/accounting, data tracking/ assessment, competitive/technical writing, program development, proofreading, and editing.
  • Excelling in a highly productive and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Working independently and in a team environment.
  • Managing multiple deadlines and priorities. Familiarity with higher education/academic medicine and/or health care would be beneficial. 
  • Previous publishing/writing desirable but not required.
  • Must be versatile and organized.
  • Self-starter, shows initiative, assertive but tactful.
  • Highly resourceful in finding information/connections with professional ability to interact in a flexible and positive manner both within the University and externally.
