Position: Event Bartender

Status: Part-Time

Reports To: Beverage Manager & Event Managers


POSITION OVERVIEW

The Event Bartender position is a critical role in ensuring our events are successful. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to contribute to creating a positive, fun and exciting work experience. Prior bartending experience and cocktail knowledge is required. Availability must include nights and weekends, with occasional holidays. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

EVENTS

• Proper uniform and appearance standards – don’t forget your smile and great attitude

• Properly set up and breakdown bars with product, equipment, glassware, etc.

• Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests

• Responsible for safely serving beverages and monitoring all alcohol consumption, discontinuing service to any guest who may     be intoxicated with the assistance of the Head Bartender and Event Manager

• Responsible for checking guests’ I.D.’s to ensure guests are of legal drinking age

• Knowledge of PPHG beverage menus

• Knowledge and understanding of PPHG venues

• Accurately sign in and out with Banquet Captain and/or Manager


SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to meet seasonal shift minimums (including 1 Friday & 1 Sunday per month), as outlined below:

- Peak: March 1st-June 30th (12 shifts) & September 1st-November 30th (9 shifts)

- Off-Peak: December 1st-February 28th/29th (6 shifts) & July 1st-August 31st (4 shifts)


Requirements

 • Must be TIPS certified or able to obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment 

• Prior bartending experience and cocktail knowledge required 

• Required to have wine tool for every shift

• Timeliness and flexible schedule, to include nights, weekend and occasional holidays

• Ability to follow Patrick Properties standards, policies and procedures 

• Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems while working as a team 

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds 

• Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time 

• Exert physical effort in transporting and placement of alcohol, coolers, glass racks, etc.

• Must possess mature, professional demeanor to interact with vendors and team  

• Ability to work without direct supervision and follow through to completion of assigned tasks
