As our Producing Sales Manager in the Retail Mortgage division, you will be a key driver of our mortgage origination efforts. Your primary responsibility is to recruit, lead and manage a team of loan officers, ensuring they meet sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service and application quality. Sales Leadership:

  • Lead a team of mortgage loan officers (MLOs) to achieve production goals.
  • Recruit and hire best in market, qualified loan officers (MLO's)
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Originate mortgage loans personally while coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Collaborate with other members of Merchants Mortgage (Operations, Capital Markets, etc.) and business unit leaders to optimize efficiency and facilitate teamwork.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other industry partners.
  • Provide exceptional service to borrowers, ensuring a smooth loan process.
  • Address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive client interactions.

Market Expansion:

  • Identify market opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.
  • Participate in community events and networking activities to promote our mortgage services.
  • Contribute to the expansion of our customer base.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Monitor loan quality and adherence to underwriting guidelines.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to streamline processes and achieve milestone tum times and expectations.

Performance Metrics:

  • Track loan production metrics, pipeline activity, and conversion rates.
  • Regularly report performance to senior management.


Requirements


What we are looking for...  

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage sales, including leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage products, underwriting, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  • Adaptability to changing market conditions.
