Position: Event Server

Status: Part-Time

Reports To: Staffing Manager & Event Managers


POSITION OVERVIEW

The Server position is a critical role in ensuring our events are successful. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to contribute to creating a positive, fun and exciting work experience. Prior food and beverage experience is preferred, but not required. Availability must include nights and weekends, with occasional holidays. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

EVENTS

• Proper uniform and appearance standards – don’t forget your smile and great attitude

• Proper food and beverage serving and dining room etiquette

• Setting up, replenishing and breaking down food displays, stations and rentals

• Clearing plates, flatware and glassware throughout the event

• Knowledge of PPHG beverage and culinary menus

• Knowledge and understanding of PPHG venues

• Accurately sign in and out with Banquet Captain and/or Manager


SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to meet seasonal shift minimums (including 1 Friday & 1 Sunday per month), as outlined below:

- Peak: March 1st-June 30th (12 shifts) & September 1st-November 30th (9 shifts)

- Off-Peak: December 1st-February 28th/29th (6 shifts) & July 1st-August 31st (4 shifts)


Requirements

• Must be ServSafe certified or able to obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment 

• Prior food and beverage experience preferred 

• Timeliness and flexible schedule, to include nights, weekend and occasional holidays

• Ability to follow Patrick Properties standards, policies and procedures 

• Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems while working as a team 

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds 

• Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time 

• Exert physical effort in transporting and placement of tables, chairs, glassware and china

• Must possess mature, professional demeanor to interact with vendors and team  

• Ability to work without direct supervision and follow through to completion of assigned tasks
