Job Summary

This is a front-end growth role focused on creating demand, opening new accounts, and driving specification and sales adoption of Greenrise’s stormwater products and systems. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities early, influencing project design, and converting those opportunities into awarded work.

Success in this role comes from proactive outreach, relationship building, and disciplined pipeline management.


Duties & Functions

  • New Business Development & Market Expansion
  • Proactively identify and pursue new stormwater opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Open doors with civil engineers, landscape architects, developers, owners, and design-build contractors who are not yet working with Greenrise.
  • Establish Greenrise as a go-to stormwater partner through consistent prospecting, follow-up, and value-driven engagement.
  • Develop and execute a territory growth plan focused on new relationships, new project types, and increased market penetration.

Specification-Driven Sales

  • Drive early inclusion of Greenrise stormwater systems (detention, treatment, green infrastructure, smart controls) in plans, details, and specifications.
  • Actively hunt for upcoming projects in planning and early design phases.
  • Position Greenrise as a basis-of-design solution, reducing competitive exposure downstream.
  • Provide technical guidance to design teams to influence system selection and scope.


Sales Execution & Deal Ownership

• Own the full sales cycle—from early lead identification through bid, award, and turnover.

• Build and manage a strong, forward-looking opportunity pipeline.

• Develop proposals, pricing strategies, and commercial terms aligned with margin targets.

• Actively close business and move opportunities forward with urgency.

• Use Salesforce to track activity, pipeline health, conversion rates, and territory performance.


Relationship Development

• Build high-impact relationships with:

   o Civil and consulting engineers

   o General contractors and site contractors

   o Developers, owners, and design-build firms

• Conduct frequent in-person meetings, lunch-and-learns, and technical presentations to generate new opportunities.

• Leverage internal teams (estimating, engineering, operations) to support pursuit and conversion of work.


Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

• Maintain awareness of:

   o Local stormwater regulations and permitting requirements

   o Competing products and systems

   o Emerging trends in green infrastructure and smart stormwater technologies

• Provide market feedback and competitive insights to leadership and marketing.

• Actively participate in industry organizations, events, and conferences to build visibility and generate leads.



Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in:
  • Technical or specification-based sales, or
  • Stormwater, civil/site infrastructure, erosion control, or related markets
  • Proven ability to prospect, open new accounts, and close business.
  • Comfortable reading and discussing civil site plans, grading, drainage, and utility layouts.
  • Experience selling consultatively—educating customers and influencing decisions early.
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Primary location: Central Texas (Austin / San Antonio)
  • Travel: Up to ~50% within territory for prospecting, meetings, jobsite visits, and industry events
