Your Role:

As a Warehouse Technician, you will be a vital partner in helping businesses achieve seamless transitions in the workplace. This role aligns with our vision to be the first "World Class Provider" of facility services, ensuring excellence in everything we do. You'll support our Operations team in delivering top-notch service to our clients by managing the receiving, shipping, and moving of office furniture within our local market and surrounding areas. Warehouse Responsibilities:

  • Unpack, install, and move various commercial furniture and related resources to support client projects.
  • Prioritize safety by wearing appropriate PPE and identifying hazards.
  • Keep tools organized and accessible, ensuring a tidy work environment.
  • Maintain a clean floor and contribute to overall site cleanliness.
  • Assist others willingly and know when to ask for help.
  • Follow standard procedures for product detrashing, separating trash and recycling.
  • Handle moving equipment with caution to avoid damage.
  • Adhere to our “done right the first time” philosophy by completing tasks efficiently.
  • Use proper lifting techniques for heavy items and load items safely for transport.
  • Secure products using shrink-wrap or packing materials as needed.
  • Stage products appropriately and keep traffic lanes open.
  • Follow standard processes for receiving, outbound logistics, and product management.
  • Prepare and reassemble systems furniture for inbound inventory.
  • Possess knowledge of various office systems and basic installation skills.

Initiative:

  • Arrive on time and in uniform at the start of each day.
  • Actively seek additional tasks upon completion of assigned work.
  • Volunteer for cross-training and assist team members positively.

Paperwork:

  • Verify your hours daily through ServiceTRAX – Approve My Time.
  • Assist in documenting any changes or damages during the warehouse process.
  • Accurately complete customer paperwork when necessary.

Employee/Customer Relations:

  • Project a positive image of yourself and the company.
  • Conduct yourself professionally and respond positively to feedback.
  • Respect co-workers, clients, and their belongings.
  • Promote a safe work environment through participation in safety programs.
  • Comply with company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:


Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors and lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Capable of working on elevated surfaces up to 25 feet high.
  • Basic math skills, including reading a tape measure.
  • Forklift and order picker experience is a plus.
  • Clean driving record and ability to drive up to a 26’ truck preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Sense of urgency to complete tasks efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in furniture warehouse work or transferable skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with hand/power tools.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight or out-of-state trips.
