Description
The Manufacturing Technician is a hands-on role responsible for operating manufacturing equipment, supporting production processes, and handling high-precision components with care. This position contributes to product quality, efficiency, and safe manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Operates a range of specialized manufacturing equipment and tools — including near-field antenna testing systems, laser marking and cutting machines, 3D printers, hermetic sealing systems, and general machine shop equipment — in accordance with established procedures.
- Assists in the setup, operation, and routine maintenance of assigned equipment under the guidance of the Product Specialist.
- Conducts visual and dimensional inspections to verify that manufacturing processes and equipment outputs meet product drawings and specifications.
- Handles high-value precision components with care during packaging, crating, and transportation.
- Works closely with Quality Assurance and Engineering teams to document inspection results, report nonconformances, and support process improvement initiatives.
- Completes work orders, inspection records, and required ERP or quality system entries accurately and on time.
- Adheres to all company safety and electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and compliant workspace in alignment with manufacturing standards.
- Performs other duties or special projects assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or technical certificate with 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, machining, or assembly environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- High degree of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to handle delicate components and operate precision tools or fixtures.
- Basic computer literacy: familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and SolidWorks is preferred.
- Basic knowledge required in both written and spoken English.
Salary Description
$25.50 - $30.50/hr
