Butterball® Farms is proud to introduce iNEXUS, a transformative talent-development program designed to unlock potential, accelerate career mobility, and prepare individuals for in-demand skilled trades careers.

 

Through iNEXUS, we are recruiting motivated individuals who want to build long-term careers as Electricians, Plumbers, or Maintenance Technicians. Participants will work with us in a paid General Manufacturing role while completing employer-funded technical training toward an industry-recognized credential.
 

Upon successful completion of the program and attainment of the certificate, participants may transition into skilled trades roles either within Butterball Farms or with an approved partnering employer. This is more than a job — it’s a launchpad to a sustainable, high-demand career.

About the iNEXUS Program: iNEXUS is an employer-led workforce initiative designed to equip individuals for future-ready careers in high-growth fields. 


The Program Offers

  • Paid training toward certifications in Electrical, Plumbing, or Industrial Maintenance (Requires in-person classroom attendance once per week)
  • Full-time employment at Butterball Farms while enrolled
  • A pathway to transfer into skilled trades roles with Butterball or partner companies upon completion
  • No prior experience required — only drive, commitment, and a willingness to learn

iNEXUS participants will perform General Manufacturing duties while actively engaging in class once a week and required coursework. Participants are expected to maintain strong performance on the production floor while progressing through their training milestones. This program is ideal for individuals seeking stable employment today and a long-term, living-wage skilled trades career tomorrow.

 

What to Expect in Our Hiring Process

  • Application Review Our team carefully reviews each application to identify alignment with the role and our organizational needs.
  • Virtual or Phone Interview If there’s a potential fit, you may be invited to complete a brief virtual interview or connect directly with our team to discuss your experience, goals, and interests. 
  • On-Site Interview & Facility Tour Selected candidates will be invited to meet the team in person and experience our environment firsthand. Depending on the role, additional interviews may be part of the process. 
  • Pre-Employment Screening As part of our standard hiring process, all candidates will be required to complete a drug screening and background check.

Compensation: $15.00 + shift premiums (where applicable)

 

Training Costs: 100% employer-funded for approved programs

 

iNEXUS Trainee Expectations:

  • Participate fully in employer-sponsored training programs and coursework.
  • Demonstrate progress toward certification requirements.
  • Maintain strong attendance, punctuality, and performance in both work and training.
  • Uphold Butterball Farms’ culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Upon completion, transition into a skilled trades role with Butterball or a partnering employer.

Education / Requirements

  • Valid Drivers License
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong interest in Electrical, Plumbing, or Maintenance careers.
  • Commitment to learning, developing new skills, and growing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Reliability, accountability, and a positive approach to problem-solving.

Working Environment

This position is located in a production/processing environment, which may involve:

  • Cold temperatures ranging from 45°F with occasional exposure to freezer environments as low as -10°F
  • Exposure to manufacturing equipment and machinery
  • Standing and working on concrete floors for extended periods
  • Fast-paced, physically demanding tasks in a team-oriented setting
  • Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety protocols
