JOB SUMMARY

The Laborer plays a critical role in daily operations by performing hands-on, physical work that keeps materials moving and production running smoothly. This role supports various plant and yard activities through general labor, material handling, and equipment operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Safely operate assigned equipment and tools
• Load, unload, lift, and move materials as needed
• Follow all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety policies
• Perform physically demanding tasks including climbing ladders, reaching overhead, bending, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Ability to work extended hours when required
• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and teamwork

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying conditions including heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements
• Operate around heavy equipment and machinery
• All work performed in accordance with York Building Products safety standards 

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
• Capable of shoveling wet, sticky material for extended periods
