- Discovering customer needs and providing service in a prompt and courteous manner. •
- Providing a rewarding shopping experience with accurate labeling of product shelf tags, price stickers and/or signs.
- Ensuring that grocery displays, aisles and storage areas are clean and in orderly condition.
- Effectively managing inventory by pulling back stock and re-pricing of goods, while processing new product deliveries.
- Sharing your working knowledge of grocery offerings and trends. • Displaying excellent interpersonal skills.
A day in the life:
- Ensure product selection accuracy by rotating products, removing damaged or out-of-date stock, and checking codes.
- Ensure that unsellable items are returned or otherwise properly disposed of, following established procedures. Keep accurate shrinkage records.
- Manage grocery items to consistently provide in an in-stock, on-the-shelf, fully-fronted position with special attention paid to high-volume products and product categories as well as end-caps, special displays and items on sale.
- Provide excellent customer service to all store patrons.
- Participate in inventory counts.
- Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Open to working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in natural/organic foods, grocery or retail preferred.
