Position Summary:

Lakes Region VNA and Hospice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join our team. The LNA will provide essential nursing care and support to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN). This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Provide basic patient care, including changing bed linens, repositioning patients, and assisting with mobility.
  • Observe and report any change in patients’ conditions to the supervising nurse.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Current and valid LNA certification in NH.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a home health care setting is preferred.
  • Skills:

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work effectively with staff.

* Excellent organizational and time management skills.

* Knowledge of state and federal home health care regulations.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Must be self-motivated, dedicated, detail oriented.

*Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
