We are seeking a Human Resources and Marketing Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in shaping experiences that matter. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Human Resources and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, HRIS administration, and personnel file maintenance, while providing confidential administrative support. In addition, this role supports marketing efforts by coordinating events, managing promotional materials, assisting with social media engagement, and facilitating community partnerships.
HR Responsibilities:
- Manage recruitment efforts within the HRIS system, including job postings, applicant tracking, conducting virtual phone interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers.
- Prepare offers letters for approval based on pay grade and salary information. Initiate background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Manage the new hire onboarding process including I-9 verification, documentation review, orientation to company policies, and instruction of the HRIS Self Service portal.
- Update and maintain the HRIS system including changes to system modules, user permissions and access, data management, and employee information.
- Maintains employee personnel files following company policies and government regulations. Retains records in line with company record retention requirements.
- Assists with processing Payroll.
- Performs confidential administrative support, including scheduling meetings, generating spreadsheets, etc.
- May be responsible for coordinating celebrations and team-building events.
- Any other job duties as assigned.
Marketing Responsibilities:
- Assist the community relations specialist with the planning and execution of marketing events, including business expos, financial literacy events, and branch events.
- Attend chamber and community events to represent the credit union.
- Manage ordering of promotional items and other related items.
- Fill branch supply orders and inventory stock.
- Assist with photo and video shoots for social media posts.
- Manage and collect survey results from all feedback channels and update reporting.
- Support the execution of all partnerships, deliverables, including Louisiana State University and Southern University, by helping to manage marketing materials, event logistics, and event presence.
Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Educational Requirements/Preference:
Required:
- 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to learn Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources.
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.

Preferred:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or Business.
- Knowledge of social media platforms.
- Process-improvement skills.
Starting pay is between $21.18 and $26.47 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
