Job Summary
Atlas RX Pharmacy is seeking an experienced and driven Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead pharmacy operations with precision, compliance, and excellence. This role is central to ensuring the safe, compliance, and high-quality compounding and dispensing of medications that support men’s health and performance-focused therapies. The PIC is responsible for full oversight of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and continuous improvement in a fast-growing, non-retail compounding environment.
Core Responsibilities
Pharmacy Operations & Compliance
- Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations as the designated Pharmacist in Charge
- Ensure full compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, and all applicable federal and state laws
- Maintain readiness for Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and other regulatory inspections
- Implement, enforce, and maintain pharmacy SOPs, policies, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with USP 795 non-sterile compounding standards
Compounding & Quality Assurance
- Supervise and participate in non-sterile compounding activities as needed
- Ensure proper preparation, packaging, labeling, storage, and documentation of compounded medications
- Oversee quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of controlled substances
Leadership & Staff Oversight
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff
- Provide training, guidance, and performance oversight
- Foster a culture of accountability, precision, and professionalism
- Support staff development as pharmacy operations scale
Inventory & Systems Management
- Oversee ordering, inventory control, and medication storage
- Prevent shortages, overstock, and waste
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and system documentation
Collaboration & Growth
- Collaborate with clinic partners, providers, and leadership teams
- Support expansion of services, new product lines, and operational scaling
- Serve as a subject matter expert on pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing (Nebraska and KS required)
- Minimum 2+ years of compounding pharmacy experience
- Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of USP 795 and state compounding regulations
- Experience with pharmacy inspections and regulatory audits
- High proficiency with pharmacy systems and documentation
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety, compliance, and quality
