Hourly Rate: $27.14 - $36.72
Job Summary:
Receives, coordinates and expedites flow of materials and parts throughout the facility to help meet customer requirements.
- Interact with Customer on schedule and delivery
- Compile customer required reports
- Assist with entering customer Purchase orders
- Coordinates and expedites flow of material between sections or departments according to production and shipping schedules or department based on the daily/weekly MRP schedule
- Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department managers to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material
- Enter raw materials at time of delivery into the MRP system
- Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records for traceability, identification, including labeling with MRP tag numbers and inventory balance records
- Review production schedules and related information, and communicate with
- Plant Manager or Cell Leads to determine material requirements needed to identify overdue materials and to track material inventory balances
- Monitor and maintain acceptable levels of inventory for the Saw House
- Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments according to job order priorities and material availability, notifying departments of material deficiencies
- Coordinates and expedites in-plant transfer of material to meet production schedules
- Compiles and maintains manual and electronic records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials
- Monitor and assist in heat treat process, equipment operation and maintain quality records
- Follow documented processes
- Maintain a high degree of quality, effectively use and monitor NCP, CAR and Action Item databases
- Maintain accurate paperwork and distribute using electronic methods
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and productivity
- In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
- Abide by company policies

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of four (4) years of combined education and/or experience in production, material control, or procurement. A two (2) year technical degree, one (1) year manufacturing certificate, or other equivalent education may be applied toward meeting this requirement.
- Understand cycle count and inventory control
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Microsoft Excel Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- MRP and/or inventory control experience
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings
- Identify and initiate product and process improvements
- Document work processes and generate suggested changes
- Work on special assignments as required
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery and equipment, and vibration. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. While performing some job duties, there is a risk of electrical shock and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment.
Job duties may require work in high, precarious places, work in outside weather conditions, and exposure to extreme temperatures in some cases. The noise level in the working environment is often loud. Because of this environment and associated risks, use of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required.
