ABOUT REINVESTMENT FUND:
Reinvestment Fund’s Policy Solutions team (Policy) partners with government, nonprofit, and other civic leaders to support strategic decision-making to strengthen communities. We conduct rigorous research and build analytic tools that help stakeholders implement effective interventions to achieve equitable outcomes. ABOUT THE POSITION:
Reinvestment Fund is seeking a Policy Analyst to conduct spatial, statistical, and qualitative data analysis in support of our Policy Solutions department for clients primarily in the public and nonprofit sectors. Specific topics of focus include but are not limited to affordable housing policy, equitable and inclusive community development, urban and rural food access, and access to high-quality early childhood education. As a collaborative team contributor, this role offers the chance to support multiple projects by turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform real-world policy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collects, cleans, validates, and processes spatial and quantitative data in support of Policy Solutions internal and client deliverables.
- Performs statistical quantitative and spatial analysis by way of various programming software (SQL, ArcGIS, R, etc.)
- Creates maps, charts, and tables that represent the final results of the analytical processes.
- Contributes to presenting data analysis to clients and stakeholders.
- Collects and analyzes qualitative data (e.g., interviews, focus groups, literature reviews).
- Supports the work and contributes to the training of interns or fellows.
- Ensures accuracy of work products and publications.
- Support ad-hoc assignments
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master’s degree preferred (in social sciences, city planning, or a related field) but a combination of bachelor’s degree and 2 years+ relevant experience may be considered.
· 2+ Years of relevant experience
· Data analysis skills using at least one of the following: ArcGIS, SQL, R
· Subject matter knowledge in one or more of the following policy areas: housing policy, city planning, public health, early childhood education, food access, community development, related social science disciplines.
· Strong analytical thinking skills.
· Experience with statistical and spatial methodologies.
· Effective written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to manage time across multiple projects.
· Familiarity with qualitative research methods such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, literature reviews.
· Proven ability to work as part of a team.
· Ability to travel for 2 or 3 nights approximately every six to eight weeks.
WORK LOCATION:
Reinvestment Fund provides a flexible hybrid home/office work arrangement. It is anticipated that a combination of working remote and 2 days/week in the Philadelphia, PA or Atlanta, GA location will allow for face-to-face interactions.

The salary range for this position at commencement of employment is between $67,800 and $76,000/year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
