Housekeeper – Assisted Living

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and kitchens to ensure a hygienic environment

- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and assist with laundry duties as needed

- Restock supplies and ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and stored properly

- Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to promote a safe environment

- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly

- Support residents and staff with courteous and friendly service, fostering a welcoming atmosphere

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies


Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or related roles preferred

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods

- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures

- Positive attitude, energetic approach, and a genuine desire to serve others

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (healthcare or senior living a plus)
  • Ability to follow cleaning schedules, checklists, and safety protocols
  • Willingness to learn assisted-living–specific procedures and infection-control practices
  •  Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, pushing carts, and standing for extended periods 
  •  Must demonstrate respect, patience, and kindness when interacting with residents
  • Ability to maintain resident privacy and confidentiality at all times
  •  Ability to follow infection-control and sanitation guidelines 
  •  Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
