CES specializes in the design of custom building systems for projects across the United States. We currently have an opening in our Middletown, CT office for an entry level full-time (32+ hours) Co-op/Intern Electrical Engineer.
This individual will be responsible for the design and layout of power, lighting, communications and fire alarm and special systems.
Essential Functions
· Designs portions of a project using engineering formulas and skills for ensuring safety and technical accuracy.
· Reviews design project for code compliance and performs code research as required to comply with applicable State, Local and Federal codes.
· Identifies and selects equipment from appropriate manufacturing catalogs for specific applications.
· Ability to perform on-site investigations and surveys prior to design.
· Coordinates the contract documents between engineering disciplines and architectural details.
· Provides technical support to contractors throughout construction.
· Performs his or her own drafting/design using AutoCAD and/or Revit and reviews own work for accuracy.
Qualifications
· Matriculating BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 0-3 years of industry related experience.
· Must be able to use AutoCAD and Revit, for drafting and design to complete a project.
· Strong oral and writing skills.
· Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
· Must be local to Middletown, CT
· Must be able to work in the U.S. without current or future employment sponsorship.
The position pays $22 / hr.
