Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a specialized long-term care (LTC) facility dedicated to providing exceptional care for individuals with Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Spina Bifida, and other neuromuscular disorders. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents by delivering personalized, high-quality nursing care in a supportive and collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents with neuromuscular disorders, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.

- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies accurately and safely according to physician orders and facility protocols.

- Monitor residents’ health status, recognize changes or complications, and respond promptly to ensure optimal outcomes.

- Educate residents and their families about condition management, medication use, and health maintenance.

- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of care provided, assessments, and resident progress.

- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid and current RN license in PA

- Proven experience in long-term care, neurology, or related healthcare settings preferred.

- Strong understanding of neuromuscular disorders and associated care needs.

- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation standards.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
