Automotive Sales & Leasing Specialist

Midway Motors Auto Group is looking for a motivated Automotive Sales Professional to guide customers through the purchase or lease of new and pre-owned vehicles. This role focuses on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering an exceptional buying experience while meeting sales and profitability goals.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and build trust through a professional, customer-first approach
  • Ask thoughtful questions to understand needs and recommend the right vehicle
  • Present vehicle features, benefits, and optional equipment clearly
  • Coordinate and conduct vehicle test drives following dealership guidelines
  • Explain purchase and lease options in a way customers can easily understand
  • Negotiate pricing with management approval and complete all required sales documentation
  • Prepare customers for a smooth transition to the F&I process
  • Stay knowledgeable on products, features, and industry regulations
  • Set personal sales goals and actively track progress

Delivery & Follow-Up

  • Ensure vehicles are ready and properly delivered to customers
  • Review vehicle features, warranties, and paperwork at delivery
  • Introduce customers to the service team and schedule their first service visit
  • Follow up after delivery to confirm satisfaction and handle any open items

Customer Development

  • Follow up with sold customers within 48 hours and unsold customers within 24 hours
  • Proactively prospect and build new customer relationships
  • Utilize dealership CRM and follow-up systems
  • Participate in community, social, or dealership events as requested

Additional Expectations

  • Maintain a clean, professional showroom and vehicle displays
  • Mentor new sales team members when needed
  • Participate in sales meetings and training
  • Maintain a professional appearance and team-focused attitude
Requirements

Job Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant sales or customer service experience
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous work experience working directly with the public, selling or influencing others, establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships, and communicating with persons outside the organization via phone, face-to-face, email and/or social media.

  • Customer-focused with the ability to communicate directly with customers, explaining vehicle details, recommendations and costs
  • Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data and process information
  • Cooperative spirit that requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying good-natured, cooperative attitude; being sensitive to other’s needs and feelings while being understanding and helpful

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and ability to work within a fast-paced environment


Salary Description
Starting at $3,000 per month.
