Human Resources Generalist Position Overview

This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their work, and is confident supporting employees and leaders across all levels of the organization. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will play a central role in the day-to-day Human Resources operations including:

Employee Relations & Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and policy interpretation
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and provide guidance to leaders on performance and conduct matters
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles, including posting, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers
  • Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a smooth, consistent new-hire experience

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Support employees with benefits enrollment, eligibility questions, and issue resolution
  • Administer leave programs (FMLA, medical, personal, etc.), ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance

HR Compliance & Reporting

  • Maintain employee records and ensure documentation meets legal and internal requirements
  • Assist with compliance audits, reporting, and policy updates
  • Support payroll and HR data accuracy through timely updates and cross-functional coordination

Training & Development

  • Assist in coordinating training sessions, tracking participation, and supporting overall development initiatives
  • Provide coaching and support to supervisors on HR best practices

Requirements

 The Ideal HR Generalist Candidate Would Possess

  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR compliance
  • Excellent communication, discretion, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build trust, manage sensitive issues, and balance multiple priorities
  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred
