MRI Technologist

Position Impact
As an MRI Technologist at AICA, you'll directly impact patient care through high-quality diagnostic imaging that enables accurate diagnoses and effective treatment planning for orthopedic and neuro-spine cases.
Core Responsibilities
Advanced MRI Imaging
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision or repeat scans
- Screen patients for precautions and contraindications before examinations
- Adjust scan parameters based on physician orders and clinical requirements
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for orthopedic, neuro-spine, and pain management cases
- Recognize abnormalities, adjust processes, and communicate findings to radiologists
Patient Care & Communication
- Explain procedures clearly, address concerns, and ensure patient comfort
- Position patients appropriately for required anatomical images
- Maintain calm, professional demeanor in challenging situations
- Follow physician orders precisely while adhering to safety regulations
Equipment & Quality Management
- Maintain MRI equipment in optimal working condition
- Clean and disinfect equipment after each use
- Assist with calibration, software upgrades, and protocol updates
- Monitor supply inventory and maintain ACR toolkit
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records in Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Follow ALARA principles and safety guidelines
- Maintain organized, clean work areas
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist certification (current and in good standing)
- ARRT or ARMRIT advanced MR certification
- Current CPR certification
- Experience performing MR procedures independently
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- Understanding of MRI scanning procedures and technical protocols
-PRN Weekends
Preferred
- 2+ years MRI experience in orthopedic or multi-specialty practice
- Experience with personal injury patient populations
- Familiarity with NextGen or similar practice management systems
