W-Industries is hiring a Building Automation Technician to help deliver commercial Building Automation System (BAS) projects across a variety of control platforms. This role fits a technician or early-career engineer with 2–3+ years of hands-on field experience who can handle key BAS tasks with minimal supervision, while continuing to build skills within a supportive project team.
This position is involved throughout the full project lifecycle—installation, startup, troubleshooting, and ongoing system support—with exposure to platforms such as Siemens, Niagara, Distech, and other major commercial control systems. Over time, the role provides a path into commissioning, deeper diagnostics, and more advanced system responsibilities.
- Service, configure, install, and program commercial building automation systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and senior technicians to help drive project execution.
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings, submittals, and sequences of operation.
- Provide on-site technical support and assist customers with BAS-related questions.
- Perform foundational troubleshooting and diagnostics involving devices, wiring, communications, and control logic.
- Support project tasks from startup through closeout, including point-to-point verification and basic functional testing.
- Complete assigned work in alignment with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

- General familiarity with office equipment such as computers, multi-line phones and printers.
Required Experience & Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of I&E Technician experience required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to reach overhead and use tools above/over the head.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods; walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist.
- Ability to sit, balance, and climb ladders, scaffolds, and other structures.
- Ability to navigate confined or cluttered spaces and uneven surfaces.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
