GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable and Billing Clerk to join our finance team. This position is responsible for processing all incoming invoices, issuing timely payments, and preparing accurate client billings. The ideal candidate will also assist with financial record-keeping and support other accounting functions as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review, verify, and process all incoming vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices in accordance with company policies
- Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer
- Maintain vendor records and resolve any discrepancies or payment issues
- Prepare and distribute Accounts Payable reports in a timely and accurate manner. File and archive paid invoices and appropriate Accounts Payable reports.
- Reconcile Vendor statements.
- Reconcile AP account.
- Prepare checks according to disbursement schedule
- Generate and distribute client invoices based on contracts and service agreements
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Reconcile billing and payment records to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage the issuance of Gift Cards for internal and externals.
- Monitor and resolve chargeback inquiries.
- Handling all incoming checks and deposited to the bank electronically
- Support audits by providing required documentation and reports
- Perform other accounting or administrative tasks as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Associate degree, coursework in accounting, or a combination of school and hands on experience required
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable, billing, or a related accounting function
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in Business Central accounting software is preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Effective work ethic at high level of productivity, ability to meet deadlines
Full Time, Hourly Position
Pay Range: $22 - $24 / hour, Depending on Experience
