Senior Technical Consultant

ALL4's Air Quality Modeling and Monitoring (AQMM) Tech Team is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant. This individual will be tasked with actively seeking opportunities to increase ALL4’s visibility through technical presentations and other venues and are responsible for driving existing and new business revenues generated within those venues. They are self-motivated, coachable, growth-oriented individuals who are interested in developing their technical and regulatory knowledge base to enable the efficient completion of air quality and multimedia projects. The Senior Technical Consultant will have the opportunity to help manage challenging environmental work, create their own professional path, and make a tangible contribution to a growing, employee-centric, forward-facing company. Our teams work closely with clients in a strategic partnership supported by a foundation of authentic communication, personal ownership, and accountability. Requirements
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in key regulatory or technical service areas and general Environmental regulatory and compliance knowledge.
  • Expert level knowledge of multiple key Technical Areas. For most Senior Technical Consultants, these multiple key Technical Areas should combine to form expert level knowledge across an entire ALL4 service area. Senior Technical Consultants can hold technical expertise across an industry as well, provided that the industry is far-reaching and is a strategic market for ALL4.
  • Transfer knowledge and facilitate training to increase overall ALL4 technical depth and understanding.
  • Ability to prepare and execute high-level technical work individually, with the capacity to direct others on how to do the same.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge that allows for a nuanced understanding of a Technical Area beyond what would be apparent to an entry or mid-level employee.
  • Build effective teams and enroll members as necessary. Can communicate all facets of day-to-day work within the Technical Area to both internal teams and clients.
  • Educate the company on the obligations and considerations of existing clients and prospects within a Technical Area.
  • Responsible for defining and suggesting actions that ALL4 can take to expand revenue within a Technical Area.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory organizations, industry technical experts/peers, and provide technical interpretation, review, and strategic analysis of Federal, state, and local environmental regulations for clients.
  • Participate in business development opportunities related to area of expertise and has significant sales goals.
  • Prioritize client engagement through routine and repeating outreach, in-person connection, and intentional sharing of ALL4 services and capabilities.  
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills and decision making for complicated issues with high visibility and ALL4/client liability.
  • Prepare and present conference papers or presentations and be responsible for business related activity resulting from those presentations.
  • Consistently and reliably meet or exceed utilization goals and profit targets.
  • Develop technical approach and cost assumptions for complex proposals and scope of work documents to attain project work and to meet schedules and contract requirements.
  • Utilize ALL4 project management support systems to ensure project profitability and to satisfy client deliverable and scope of work requirements.
  • Assume technical responsibility and maintain routine and timely communication with all internal and external project participants.
  • Manage annual client revenue targets determined by the leadership team.
  • Plan, organize, and execute projects within technical discipline, while serving as clients’ primary point of contact.
  • Ensure project compliance with ALL4 Quality Assurance guidelines.
  • Demonstrate a high-level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • May be required to coordinate staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Engineering or applicable science degree and collective experiences equivalent to >5 years of consulting or industry experience in an Environmental technical discipline.
  • Specialized, expert level knowledge in one or more key technical areas impacting clients.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and delegate workflow proactively.
  • Effective problem resolution and consultative skills combined with the ability to delegate effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong document production skills (proficiency in Word and Excel) and technical writing ability.

  • Proven ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels both internally and externally.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
