Job Summary

Velocity Maintenance Services is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites within the general area. The Field Service Technician will travel daily to service locations but will return home each night; occasional overnight trips may be required. This position requires strong commitment to SAFETY, delivering exceptional customer service, mechanical aptitude, and excellent problem-solving skills. 

Key Job Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safe practices to ensure that yourself, co-workers, and customers go home safe everyday
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment status, repair recommendations, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on forklifts and related  equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed.
• Manage inventory of parts and tools required for on-site service.
• Travel safely withing the regional; maintain punctuality and reliability for all assignments.

Job Requirements

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in forklift repair, heavy equipment maintenance, or a related field.

· High School or GED Diploma required; technical certifications in mechanics or hydraulics preferred

· Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting abilities. 

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. 

· Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in various environments. 

· Willingness to travel regionally (home every night).
