Description
Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a full time Central Service & Supply Tech at our Layton locations. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Stock Central Supply rooms
- Prepare various items to be sterilized
- Clean, package, sterilize, and distribute instruments
- Clean and stock procedure rooms each week as needed
- Unload supplies from the dock area and distribute to the proper locations
- Collect biohazardous waste and package for disposal
- Collect linen bags
- Process receiving of product against purchase orders ensuring proper quantity and quality of product
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received
- Maintain a detailed delivery log of all incoming packages and identifying all packages that require refrigeration
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Requirements:
- Six months Central Supply work experience preferred
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to be on feet for entire shift including walking, pulling, pushing, twisting, lifting, and walking up and down stairs
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized, detail oriented, and professional
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent time management skills
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical supplies, and organizational services.
Skills:
- Adequate hearing to answer phone.
Abilities:
- Ability to use multi-line phone system, including transferring calls and paging.
- Ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard by callers.
Equipment Operated:
- Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, behind-the-scenes environment focused on sterilizing, distributing, and maintaining medical supplies and equipment
Mental/Physical Requirements:
- Involves sitting approximately <10 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
