JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Dietary Aide – Fulltime -  immediate hire

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

A dietary aide ensures that each resident receives the nourishment they require to promote, reclaim or maintain their health and well-being.

The aide assists the dietary manager in developing food combinations, preparation procedures, and presentation strategies that encourage patients to eat, enjoy healthy food.

This position reports to the Dietary Manager. Always remembering this is the home of the sisters and residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Ability to verbally communicate with residents and staff.

· Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.

· Ability to calculate figures, and amounts such as proportions and percentages.

· Shows concern and respect for others by dealing with people in a collaborative, compassionate, sensitive, and responsive manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Graduate from a high school or GED

Previous hospital or healthcare nutrition services experience preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

Servsafe food handlers preferred
