SPOON Events, a Catalyst MXE company, is seeking a skilled Exhibit Carpenter to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of high-quality trade show structures and displays, ensuring our clients’ events are both visually impressive and structurally sound. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Position/Title: Exhibit Carpenter

Job Type: Full-Time 

Work Location: Las Vegas

Compensation: $25 - $30/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

- Cut, fabricate, and assemble wooden and other materials to create trade show structures and displays according to detailed specifications

- Operate a variety of carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently

- Follow all health and safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe working environment

- Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet deadlines and quality standards

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Inspect completed work for quality, durability, and adherence to specifications

- Assist in the maintenance and repair of existing structures and displays as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a carpenter, cabinet maker, or similar role, preferably in event or trade show environments

- Strong knowledge of wood properties, Formica, laminating, cabinet construction, wall panels, carpentry materials, and tools

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Good understanding of health and safety standards related to carpentry and construction

- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
