Job Summary:
Under the clinical direction of a radiologist and general supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor, or Diagnostic Imaging Center Manager or designee and Technical Director performs a variety of ultrasound scanning and imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical ultrasound procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ultrasound for ultrasound diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
- Performs all specialty areas of ultrasound exams to include assisting radiologists with procedures.
- Prepares and reviews images for radiologist / physician interpretation for diagnostic purposes.

- Required: Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) from CAAHEP accredited program
- Required: RDMS, ARRT (US), or CCI credentialed/registered (eligible if not yet graduated) in appropriate ultrasound specialty.
- Required: Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and not less than 6 months practical ultrasound experience required.
- Required: Vascular registry (if not already) within one year of hire.
- Required: CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Desired: Minimum of 6 months practical experience as a full-time sonographer with vascular experience and vascular registry is desirable
- Desired: Minimum of 3 years' practical experience as a Full-Time Echocardiographer is desirable.
