Description

Tague Lumber is seeking a friendly, motivated Counter Sales Representative to serve as the first point of contact at our Philadelphia location. As the “face of the company,” this role is essential in creating a positive first impression and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while supporting both in-person and phone sales. 


 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a warm, professional manner, matching products, services, and solutions to individual customer needs
  • Build and maintain new business relationships while delivering excellent customer service
  • Process sales orders accurately and efficiently
  • Provide reliable product and order information to customers in person and over the phone
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-focused demeanor at all times
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to support daily operations
  • Utilize and learn point-of-sale (POS) system
Requirements


  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Professional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Knowledge of residential or commercial lumber and millwork sales is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to pass a drug screening, physical, and background check
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
