Description

About the Role

Corus Medical is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse to serve as our Director, leading the strategic, clinical, and operational performance of our physician services division. This role sits at the intersection of leadership and clinical practice — guiding multidisciplinary teams, strengthening physician alignment, and ensuring high-quality, integrated care for the patients and communities we serve.

You will help shape the next chapter of Corus Medical’s growth, grounded in CareM’s mission to bring out the courage in others and supported by a culture built on trust, transparency, innovation, and disciplined execution. This is an opportunity for a seasoned clinical leader who thrives in complexity, leads with clarity, and finds purpose in elevating people and practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for Corus Medical with a focus on Palliative Care, ensuring physician services align with CareM’s mission, value-based care goals, and system-wide standards.
  • Partner closely with the Medical Director to drive clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee practice operations, including scheduling, billing, revenue cycle management, workflow optimization, and performance reporting.
  • Lead provider and staff recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and professional development.
  • Manage and ensure timely credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging for all Corus Medical providers.
  • Monitor key performance indicators across patient access, visit volume, revenue cycle efficiency, quality metrics, and patient satisfaction.
  • Build palliative care growth strategies through internal Home Health, Hospice and Clinically Integrated Network partnerships, as well as specialty programming through external service line expansion, market development, and physician partnerships.
  • Serve as a liaison to referring physicians, hospitals, payors, and community partners to strengthen integrated care.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT,  Intake/Authorizations, and other shared services to support operational excellence.
  • Provide direct patient care as an Advanced Practice Nurse when appropriate, while balancing administrative      responsibilities.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and participate in executive leadership discussions.
Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) with APN certification; prescriptive authority and relevant specialty certification (e.g., Family Practice, Geriatrics) as well as Palliative Care and Hospice experience required.
  • Current, unrestricted APN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive healthcare leadership, including at least 3 years in physician practice management or ambulatory care.
  • Proven success leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing medical group operations.
  • Expertise in value-based care, revenue cycle processes, credentialing, and regulatory requirements for physician services.
  • Strong financial and operational  acumen; familiarity with EMRs such as Athena and myUnity preferred.
  • Soft skills that elevate the role: empathy, emotional steadiness, follow-through, collaborative leadership, transparent communication, adaptability, grounded decision-making, and the ability to coach and uplift others.
  • Executive presence paired with humility — a leader who models courage, clarity, and calm.
