Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the expeditor is to ensure that all kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and according to menu and customer expectations.
Work Performed:
· To have complete knowledge of all menu items including preparation.
· Communicate with service staff of any issues reported by the kitchen.
· Clearly communicate and facilitate all special requests by members to the kitchen.
· Read food tickets and identify any concerns.
· To ensure that servers are informed of current menu and daily specials.
· Examine portioning and garnishing of completed food orders.
· To properly set up and maintain all back of house areas.
· Communicate verbally and in writing with English as a primary language.
· Commitment to recognize and acknowledge members by name.
· To assign duties, responsibilities, and workstations to food runners in accordance with work requirements.
· Issue and ensure return of all service pagers.
Minimum Requirements for Position:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be friendly, willing to work in a team environment.
- Must have a current Food Handlers Card.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must pass company pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 15-30 pounds.
- Being an expeditor is physical work and this job also requires the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment.
