We are seeking a detail oriented and organized Accounting Manager to join our Finance Team!
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and strong internal controls. This role supports the CFO by providing timely financial data and analysis to inform strategic decisions. The position is in-person, not hybrid or remote.
Salary Range: $75K - $90K (Commensurate with Experience)
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Oversee all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare financial statements and reports for CFO review.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and non-profit accounting standards.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Implement and monitor internal control procedures.
- Support annual audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
Budget Support
- Assist CFO with budget development and monitoring.
- Provide variance analysis and recommendations.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain accounting systems and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with IT on financial system upgrades and integrations.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required.
- Minimum of 5 years progressive accounting experience; non profit experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years Payroll experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must obtain BLS, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications within 90 days of hire; we will train and certify on-site.
