Summary

Julie Billiart Schools is a network of schools serving children grades K-8 with special learning

challenges. Currently we have campuses in Akron, Brecksville, Lyndhurst and Westlake that offer

unique learning environments for students with autism, ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, specific learning

deficiencies and social learning challenges. We are Catholic, non-public schools that welcome

diverse faith traditions.

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for designing and implementing social, behavioral and naturalistic

teaching to a group of up to 10 students. Teacher may be assigned a camp counselor

(depending on size of group) to assist with students and will be responsible for daily

management of that staff. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual looking to grow their

Requirements

 

Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field
  • Professional certification or license preferred
  • 2 + years working with students with ADHD, Autism, or other learning challenges
  • Experience with educational data collection

Working Conditions

  • This position requires being indoors and outdoors, sometimes exposed to weather characteristic of the region.
