The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides non-medical in-home care and basic support to clients in their homes, following an individualized written care plan. This role focuses on assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting safety, providing companionship, and ensuring comfort—all while practicing within CNA scope of practice and agency policies.
This PRN position offers flexible, as-needed hours and is ideal for licensed CNAs seeking meaningful one-on-one client care in a home-based setting.
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, and hair care
- Provide safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support using walkers, wheelchairs, or gait belts
- Reposition clients to promote comfort and maintain skin integrity
- Observe, document, and report changes in condition to supervising staff
Nutrition & Meal Support
- Prepare meals according to prescribed dietary requirements
- Assist with feeding as needed
- Monitor and document nutritional intake
Companionship & Consumer Support
- Provide emotional support and meaningful social interaction
- Encourage independence while maintaining dignity and respect
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and other outings as assigned
Household Support & Errands
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, changing bed linens, and cleaning kitchen and bathroom areas
- Run errands such as grocery shopping, as needed
Compliance & Training
- Active / Maintain CNA certification in good standing
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Physically able to perform job duties, including lifting, transfers, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Dependable, professional, and consumer-focused
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Valid Drivers License Reliable transportation to and from assignments
- Smartphone required for Connecteam work-related duties
