Description
SUMMARY
- This position is a full-time, 10-month position, that serves as a liaison between students, teachers, parents, and administration, working directly with and on behalf of middle school students. Administers discipline under the direction of the Middle School Principal. Assists the High School Dean of Student Life as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serves as student advocate and mentor; Spiritually, relationally, and academically.
- Disciplines students and communicates with parents and teachers when infractions occur. Discipline is detailed, biblically consistent, and restorative. Documents disciplinary actions/events. Responsible for writing/distributing Detention Reflections that a student completes while in detention.
- Provides instruction, application, and interpretation of the Student Parent Handbook and school policy to teachers, parents, and students.
- Provides guidance and oversight for the planning of middle school activities and events, as directed by the MS principal (e.g., field day, etiquette dance, etc.). Attends a middle school trip during trip week.
- Provides oversight to the PRCA community regarding the mental and emotional health of the middle school student body. Will be a member of the Mental Health Committee and co-lead with the planning and execution of the school-wide Health and Safety Day (biannually).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Experience as a teacher or key staff member within the PRCA community is preferred.
- Counseling background is beneficial. Strong communicator, both written and verbal. Has the ability to manage many details and functions at the same time.
- Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, and sitting. May be required to lift up to 25lbs.
