JOB SUMMARY

Retail is more than ringing up a sale — it’s about creating a personalized, elevated shopping experience that feels effortless, thoughtful, and memorable.


We’re looking for someone with style, confidence, and strong sales instinct who knows how to connect with guests, curate product recommendations, and turn a quick browse into a boutique experience.


This role supports the overall spa guest journey by delivering exceptional service, maintaining the boutique’s presentation, and confidently selling retail merchandise in a way that feels natural, never forced; while displaying a sense of pride in the Sanctuary Commitments and Sanctuary Standards of Excellence.


JOB FUNCTIONS

Guest Experience & Sales

  • Welcome guests and members with a warm, polished, and professional presence. 
  • Create a personalized shopping experience by engaging with guests, identifying their needs, and recommending products and apparel that complement their lifestyle and preferences. 
  • Build trust through product knowledge and genuine connection, helping guests discover items they may not have originally come in for. 
  • Accurately describe and promote spa retail merchandise, apparel, accessories, and featured products. 
  • Support service providers with retail recommendations and product sales tied to guest service experiences. 
  • Assist guests and members with boutique purchases, special orders, and general inquiries. 
  • Use guest and member names whenever possible to create a more personalized experience. 

Boutique Operations

  • Process all retail transactions accurately, including cash, credit cards, vouchers, and other approved payment methods. 
  • Follow all cashiering, money handling, and point-of-sale procedures in accordance with company standards. 
  • Verify memberships and ensure all applicable service and retail transactions are processed correctly. 
  • Answer phone calls professionally and provide accurate information regarding spa services, boutique offerings, and outlet hours. 
  • Assist with receiving, tagging, restocking, and merchandising retail inventory. 
  • Maintain boutique floor standards including folding, steaming, straightening, replenishment, and visual presentation. 
  • Keep dressing rooms, displays, fixtures, and surrounding spa retail areas clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times. 

Team & Brand Support

  • Contribute to a welcoming, elevated, and relaxed spa environment. 
  • Stay informed on current merchandise, product lines, promotions, and featured offerings. 
  • Attend staff meetings, product knowledge sessions, and vendor trainings as scheduled. 
  • Support overall spa operations as needed and assist in other areas of the spa when appropriate. 
  • Respond professionally to guest concerns and help resolve issues within established guidelines. 
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures in accordance with hotel and spa standards. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time throughout the shift.
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry retail merchandise and boutique supplies as needed.
  • Visual and auditory ability to observe guest needs and respond appropriately.
  • Ability to maintain a professional presence and performance in a busy guest-facing environment.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education 

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. Equivalent

Related Work Experience 

  • Experience with hospitality and customer service.
  • Retail experience, preferred.

Required Knowledge 

  • Excellent English verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Computer experience, required.
