Above and Beyond Behavior Analysis Virginia is a BCBA-owned and operated ABA company serving families in the Virginia Beach, Norfolk, & Chesapeake areas. We are seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is passionate about ethical ABA services and enjoys working in a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.


We are currently expanding due to increased client demand and have immediate clients available in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, & Chesapeake. 


Unlike large corporate ABA providers, we focus on manageable caseloads, clinician support, and high-quality care for the families we serve.


Compensation & Benefits

Work Environment

Services are provided in a variety of settings including:

  • Schools
  • Client homes
  • Community settings (including aftercare facilities) 


Caseload & Clinical Support

  • Typical BCBA caseload: 2–10 clients on average depending on service intensity and BCBA choice
  • RBT support on cases to assist with program implementation
  • Administrative support from Owner & Regional Director with scheduling and client intake
  • Collaborative BCBA leadership team available for consultation
  • BCBA owner and BCBA State Director are available for ongoing clinical support and collaboration

Unlike many ABA organizations, we do not require a fixed billable hour quota. BCBAs have the flexibility to shape their schedule and caseload based on their preferred workload and availability, allowing them to maintain a healthy work-life balance while providing high-quality care. Our model prioritizes ethical treatment recommendations and clinical quality over insurance-driven hour requirements.


Requirements

 BCBA Responsibilities

  • Conduct behavioral and skills assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
  • Provide supervision and training to RBTs and BCaBAs
  • Monitor client progress through data analysis and treatment updates
  • Provide parent training and caregiver support
  • Collaborate with school teams and other professionals involved in care
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, graphs, and reports

Qualifications

  • Current BCBA certification through the BACB
  • Virginia BCBA Licensure
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to pass Level 2 background screening and fingerprinting
  • Maintain BCBA certification and CEU requirements
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Adherence to BACB ethical guidelines
