HVAC Technician Responsibilities and Duties

•  Install, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems and components
•  Diagnose and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment
•  Perform routine preventative maintenance
•  Read blueprints and technical diagrams
•  Ensure compliance with safety standards and local codes
•  Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance
•  Communicate with clients to explain issues and provide recommendations
•  Handle emergency calls and perform on-call duties as needed

HVAC Technician Qualifications and Skills

•  Solid understanding of HVAC systems and tools
•  Proficiency in reading schematics and manuals
•  Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
•  Excellent customer service and communication skills
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•  Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment

Education and Experience Requirements

•  At least 18 years of age and have at minimum of three years of safe driving experience
•  Clean motor vehicle report and background check
•  High school diploma or equivalent
•  EPA certification or obtain within a month of hire
•  Must be able to work in extreme conditions (i.e. cold, hot, dirty environment, cramped, on ladders etc.).
•  Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
•  Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
•  Authorized to work in the US for any employer
