Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various fitness disciplines and the ability to motivate and inspire members in achieving their health and fitness goals. This role involves leading group classes and developing tailored fitness programs that cater to the needs of our NYCC members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging group fitness classes
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and body mechanics to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Provide guidance on anatomy knowledge and physiology principles to enhance members' understanding of their bodies.
- Foster a positive and encouraging environment that promotes health and wellness within the gym or health club setting.
- Assist with fitness by promoting programs and services offered by the facility.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in fitness and wellness to continuously improve class offerings.
- Offer support in sports coaching or personal training as needed to help members achieve their desired outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fitness Instructor or similar role with a strong background in group fitness training.
- Knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy, physiology, and program design is essential.
- Certification in relevant fitness disciplines such as yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, or CrossFit is preferred.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of individuals effectively.
- Experience in personal training or sports coaching is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals.
