Pine Tree Society is looking for a visionary leader in the Audiology field who is excited to redesign Pine Tree Society Audiology Programming to be innovative, collaborative, and ultimately, positioned to meet the unmet needs of people with disabilities in Maine.
The Audiology Program Manager will have the time and opportunity to research community needs and potential collaboration opportunities. This position includes a month-long opportunity to truly step back and identify the unmet community need in the disability community in Maine.
Ultimately, the Audiology Program Manager is responsible for designing, launching, and managing a comprehensive audiology program focused on improving access to hearing healthcare for individuals with disabilities. The Audiology Program Manager has a unique opportunity to create what doesn’t yet exist, and piloting the model and programming to meet unmet needs in underserved populations.
The Program Manager will be responsible for:
- Researching, designing, testing, and implementing a program design that builds on the diverse programming across Pine Tree Society, collaborates with key community stakeholders, and ultimately, provides access and opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to overcome barriers related to hearing and hearing loss.
- Leading the development of innovative care delivery models, school integration, service and programming collaboration, community partnerships, and operational workflows that reduce barriers to high-quality, accessible audiology services and promote equitable access for people with disabilities.
Other essential responsibilities will include:
- Conducting needs assessments to identify access barriers within audiology services in the disability community and develop strategies to address them.
- Fulfilling existing Pine Tree Society contracts and service warranties through dispensing and fitting hearing aids, testing, and providing warranty services consistent with the rules and regulations provided by the State of Maine Board of Speech, Audiology and Hearing.
- Develop program goals, timelines, and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and patient outcomes.
- Pilot innovative service delivery models such as tele-audiology, mobile clinics, and community-based hearing care.
- Develop and manage program budgets, staffing plans, and operational workflows, in partnership with the Managing Director of People & Operations.
- Coordinate program implementation across administrative, billing, and partners, in partnership with the Managing Director of People & Operations.
- Doctor of Audiology (AuD) or Master’s degree in Audiology.
- Current state licensure in Audiology (or ability to obtain).
- 3+ years of clinical experience in audiology, rehabilitation services, or healthcare access initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or implementing accessibility initiatives.
- Passion for creating a more accessible world, and ability to envision and create services and programming that fills critical gaps.
