 POSITION MISSION: (The essence of the job)

We are looking for an energetic, critical thinker to work with the Rock Lititz team on industry focused events in the summer, fall, and winter of 2026. This internship lasts from June- December. Please only apply if you can commit to a 6-month internship. The Conference & Events Intern will support the Rock Lititz team, helping to execute several large events, and build an intern community. The goal is to provide the intern with exposure to the reality of working live events, both big and small, and help the intern gain a better understanding of all the elements required to successfully coordinate a live event. 


About the Events 


Internship Community Events

· Every summer the companies based on campus host various internships. Rock Lititz hosts weekly programming to build community amongst the various companies’ interns and provides opportunities for interns to come together to learn more about the live event industry. 


Experience Live: Career Exploration Days

· Rock Lititz hosts career exploration days for college and high school students in November. These events hosts 900+ students looking to launch their career in live events. This interactive event features panels, interactive demonstrations, and a company meet & greet.


THE Conference: Live at Lititz

· Rock Lititz will be hosting its third annual three-day conference from December 8th to the 10th, 2026 for live event industry professionals. THE Conference: Live at Lititz delivers interactive, dynamic content to 900 live event professionals from across the world. With diverse panels, one-on-one conversations, product demonstrations, tours, and networking opportunities, THE Conference is designed with thoughtful intention with a strong emphasis on the details.

Requirements

  POSITION OUTCOMES: (What must get done and how will we measure success) 

· Building, running and maintaining an intern community throughout the summer; helping with planning events, facilitating lunch groups, creating opportunities for the intern community to connect

· Supporting the team by focusing on schedules, floor plans, sign and radio plans, food and beverage logistics, website input and data collection, and real time problem solving 

· Owning segments of the conference & event planning and presenting ideas and solutions to leadership

· Attending and preparing materials for meetings, speaker sessions, and sponsorship proposals

· Working closely with event leads in gathering information, communicating and following up with Initiatives Team in regard to events, and ensuring flow of information from event leads is dispersed to appropriate team members 

· Offering insight into how to improve processes at future events

· Tracking key data and maintaining accessible documentation

· Working with leads and production team to develop and track against a production plan reflective of the defined project goals, as set by the creative team

· Checking in frequently with leads and looking to find new ways to improve attendee experiences

· Physically setting up various events with help from hired labor for larger events (set up tables, chairs, etc.) 

· Supporting the Rock Lititz team on other projects and/or events as needed


JOB SKILLS (What skills will lead to success in the role) 

CRITICAL

· Project or event management experience required

· Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills required

· Experience with Canva and Microsoft Suit, specifically Excel strongly preferred

· Ability to multitask, work with diverse groups, and take input or direction from various teams is strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL

· Frequently uses manual dexterity to type, use computer for extended periods of time

· Frequently remains stationary for long periods of time, but may be standing or walking throughout campus as events need dictate

· Frequently lifting and moving boxes or event materials (tables, chairs, etc.) up to 30 lbs. 

· Occasional exposure to concert level audio output, lasers, bright or flashing light, fog, and other elements one might experience in a live event production environment


HOURS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT This role is primarily on-site, and highly collaborative. The average workload is about 30 hours per week with more hours required during event weeks.  The intern will need to be on-site from June-August, can be hybrid/remote from September-November 15 and then will need to be back on site from November 18th-December 15th.
