Description

 The Director of Grants is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the organization’s grant portfolio. This includes identifying funding opportunities, overseeing application development, ensuring compliance and reporting, and tracking performance across all awarded grants. This position also includes the oversite of fundraising and community engagement in select areas of the state. 


 

Grant Strategy and Research

• Proactively research and identify new funding sources including government, foundation, and corporate grants

• Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar to monitor deadlines, renewal cycles, and reporting requirements

• Collaborate with leadership and program teams to align funding opportunities with strategic goals

Application Development

• Lead the preparation and submission of grant proposals, budgets, and supporting materials

• Ensure all applications meet funder guidelines and reflect the organization’s mission and impact

• Coordinate input from relevant departments to strengthen proposals and demonstrate measurable outcomes

Compliance and Reporting

• Monitor grant compliance and ensure adherence to funder requirements, regulations, and internal policies

• Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports, including financial and programmatic updates

• Maintain organized records of all grant-related documentation for audits and internal reviews

Tracking and Performance Monitoring

• Develop systems to track grant deliverables, timelines, and performance metrics

• Analyze data to assess effectiveness and inform future funding strategies

• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on grant status, risks, and opportunities

Leadership and Collaboration

• Supervise grant staff or consultants as needed

• Serve as the primary point of contact for funders and grant-related communications

• Train and support internal teams on grant processes, compliance, and reporting best practices

Requirements

   

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Finance, or related field 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing, management, and compliance

• Demonstrated success in securing and managing multi-year grants from diverse funding sources

• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

• Proficiency in grant management software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and professionalism 


Salary Description
$60,000 to $70,000
