VE Solutions is looking for an experienced Buyer who knows how to keep materials moving, suppliers aligned, and production on schedule—without breaking a sweat (most days).In this role, you’ll take ownership of key commodities and supplier relationships, balancing supply and demand while supporting production goals and customer commitments. You’ll partner cross-functionally to anticipate challenges, solve complex supply issues, and continuously improve how we operate. This is not a “just place POs” role. You’ll:

• Manage assigned commodities and supplier relationships from end to end
   
• Analyze demand and set strategic min/max inventory levels
   
• Validate lead times, review order reports, and place and confirm purchase orders
   
• Ensure accuracy of all purchasing and inventory transactions in NetSuite
   
• Source and quote new and existing parts to improve lead times, cost, or quality
   
• Request and manage Vendor Return Authorizations (VRAs) with suppliers
   
• Create new part numbers in NetSuite, including cost and sell price updates
   
• Ensure on-time deliveries—especially for special or time-sensitive orders
   
• Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice and PO discrepancies
   
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve cost, quality, and delivery performance
   
• Maintain and update status reports for key production materials
   
• Apply critical thinking to evaluate risks, interpret data, and make informed purchasing decisions
   
• Proactively identify problems and implement effective, timely solutions to prevent production disruptions
   
• Support the Purchasing Supervisor with sourcing and quoting as needed
   
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across procurement processes
   
• Handle other duties as assigned (because no two days are ever the same)
   

What You Bring to the Table

• Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills are required — you can assess situations quickly, evaluate options, and take decisive action
   
• 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain
   
• Experience managing multiple commodities is a strong plus
   
• Strong attention to detail with a high standard for accuracy
   
• Working knowledge of NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred
   
• Proficiency in Excel
   
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
   
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
   
• Collaborative, team-focused approach
   
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
